Pawsitive AI Learning ("we", "our", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains exactly what data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights regarding that data.
1. Data We Collect
We collect only the data necessary for the app to function. Here is a complete list:

2. Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect payment card numbers, bank details, or financial account information. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) and RevenueCat. We only receive confirmation of your subscription status.
- We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
- We do not collect device identifiers, IP addresses, or location data.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
- We do not collect gender, marital status, phone number, or any demographic data beyond what is listed above.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Provide the learning experience — tracking your progress, unlocking courses, and displaying your achievements.
- Cross-device sync — when you sign in on a new device, your progress and preferences sync automatically.
- Subscription verification — confirming your Pro tier status to grant access to premium courses.
- Leaderboard — displaying your name and XP on the rank page (visible to other users within the app).
4. Data Storage
- Cloud storage — Your account data and learning progress are stored in Google Cloud Firestore (Firebase). Each user's data is stored in a single document accessible only by that authenticated user.
- Local cache — A copy of your progress is stored in your browser's localStorage for faster loading. This data never leaves your device and is cleared when you sign out.
- Encryption — All data in transit uses HTTPS/TLS encryption. Firestore data at rest is encrypted by Google Cloud.

- We retain your account and progress data for as long as your account is active.
- If you request account deletion, we will remove all your Firestore data within 30 days.
- Local cached data is cleared when you sign out or clear your browser/app data.
- Inactive accounts (no login for 24 months) may be flagged for deletion with 30 days advance email notice.
7. Your Rights
- Access — You can view all your data within the app (Profile section).
- Correction — You can edit your name directly in the app's Profile section.
- Deletion — You can request complete account and data deletion by emailing us. We will process the request within 30 days.
- Portability — Upon request, we can provide your data in a machine-readable format.
8. Children's Privacy
The app is suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. The app does not contain any mature content. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data without parental consent, please contact us and we will delete the data promptly.
9. Security
- Firebase Authentication handles all credential management — we never store passwords directly.
- Firestore security rules enforce that users can only read and write their own data.
- All network communication uses HTTPS encryption.
- We do not store any payment or financial information on our servers.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Material changes will be communicated through the app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
